About me
Hello, my name is Norhan Botrous and I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry from VCU in December 2025 and I have over a year of experience working as a research assistant. My research has primarily focused on mental health, alongside a semester working with the Center for the Study of Tobacco Products where I contributed to substance use research. As an Egyptian immigrant, first-generation college student, and eldest daughter, my experiences shape my passion for advancing mental health research and supporting recovery-oriented care. I plan to pursue a career in psychiatry and hope to contribute to more accessible, compassionate mental health treatment for diverse communities.
