About me
I am a 2nd year neuroscience PhD student at VCU. I have been in Dr. Peter Hamilton's lab for around a year now doing mostly bioinformatic research with some biochemical and animal work focused on investigating cocaine use disorder. My previous job was as a research technician at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota where I researched developmental myelination using cell biology and biochemical techniques in a zebrafish model system. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse with a B.S. in biomedical sciences and briefly did research on the mechanism of cell death caused by a novel anthelmintic in a worm model, C. elegans.
